Aquatika and NP Una signed an agreement on joint cooperation and synergy

first_imgThis is not the first time that we see the connection and synergy of JU Aquatika in action. Thus, last year a joint cooperation was achieved in the field of tourism of three public institutions from Karlovac County: Public Institution Baraćeva špilja and Visitor Center Ivana’s Fairytale House and Public Institution Aquatika – Freshwater Aquarium Karlovac, as well as cooperation of Aquatika with Plitvice Lakes National Park.  The public institution Aquatika and the Una National Park from Bihać signed an agreement on joint cooperation in the field of tourism, joint promotion, scientific work, monitoring, but also through all other joint projects. We believe that through various joint activities we will be able to increase the number of visits, but also exchange visitors. We will promote the National Park to our visitors, and they will give Aquatika to their visitors, pointed out the director of JU Aquatika, Margarita Maruškić Kulaš, and added: “Within the framework of this Agreement, we will today agree on joint promotion and cooperation on various project activities of both institutions. The most important three points in this cooperation are joint projects in the field of mutual promotion, joint projects in science and research, in Una, and joint promotion on the development of tourism in both regions and I believe that together we will achieve increased visits ” pointed out Maruškić Kulaš. JU Aquatika The destination consists of all participants, and if there is no synergy and coordination, there is no quality tourist product. What is most important in the whole story, the motive for coming is not accommodation, but just quality, diverse and authentic content. “We can say that this is a natural sequence that has long connected our region, especially Bihać and Bosnian Krajina with Banija and Kordun, or Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Una River, which is our common resource, our common river, which is largely a border river. However, we believe that rivers connect and should connect people and this is our contribution to show that we are ready to cooperate, but also to connect in different areas, especially when it comes to nature protection and of course creating an environment for sustainable development.Said Mulic. Synergy is so crucial in tourism and tourist destinations, and one should definitely look at the much bigger picture and network through the region. center_img Also, it is normal for certain foreign groups of guests to come to Zagreb, visit Karlovac, then NP Una, Sarajevo, Mostar, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Vukovar and then return to Zagreb. It is tourists from Scandinavia and Chinese tourists who have such similar tours where they visit three or four countries and all important tourist destinations in the area in a week. From Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Hungary. NP UNA This cooperation is significant because we finally see a positive example of synergy and the importance of connecting, and the connection of two tourist destinations from two neighboring countries, Croatia and Bosnia. The Una River originates in Croatia and is a natural border between BiH and Croatia. The desire of the Una National Park is to develop the Una Continental Riviera, which would extend along the entire course of the river, regardless of the state border. Praise once again to this excellent cooperation, and especially Aquatika – freshwater aquarium Karlovac, which are the leaders of the trend of connection and synergy in tourism.last_img read more

Australia to ensure India has ‘best’ training facilities in quarantine

first_imgMELBOURNE, Australia (Reuters) – India will have to abide by Australia’s 14-day quarantine requirement ahead of the Test series starting in December but arrangements will be made to ensure their players can prepare as well as possible, Cricket Australia (CA) said yesterday. The Indian board’s (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly told local media earlier this month he hoped Virat Kohli’s side could have their quarantine “reduced a bit” before the first Test in Brisbane from December 3.Australia requires international arrivals to isolate in quarantine hotels due to the COVID-19 pandemic, though some have been allowed to pass the period at home due to health reasons.CA interim chief executive Nick Hockley suggested there was little prospect of India’s players having a shorter quarantine.“It’s widely known and unlikely international travel restriction will have lifted by the time India are due to come into the country,” he told reporters on a video call.“I think the two-week quarantine is pretty well defined. What we’re working on is making sure that within that quarantine environment, the players have got absolutely the best training facilities so that their preparation for the matches is as optimal as it can possibly be.”Hockley said Australia was closely watching the West Indies tour of England, which has gone off largely without a hitch apart from fast bowler Joffra Archer breach of the team’s biosecurity protocols. The Adelaide Oval, which has an attached hotel, has been seen as a potential venue for India to train safely while in quarantine.“Whether it’s a hotel on-site or hotels in close proximity to venues, it’s about certainly creating that environment where we’re minimising the risk of infections,” said Hockley.“Creating a biosecure environment is the absolute priority because there’s just a huge amount at stake if we’re not able to do that.”last_img read more

Ja Rules: Morant, the Memphis rookie, is too much for sluggish Clippers | Whicker

first_img Clippers’ Paul George: ‘If I make shots, this series could be a little different’ “The most impressive thing about Ja is that he just gets better steadily,” said Taylor Jenkins, whom you may or may not know is the Memphis coach. “He’s probably now at the top of the scouting report. He really dives into how teams are covering him.”And yet only three years ago Temetrius Jamel Morant was just a phone-book name in South Carolina, discovered by a Murray State assistant coach who was seeking another player at a camp and noticed Morant tearing it up 3-on-3. The NBA scouts came for the dunking and the slick passing but they stayed for the savvy.Earlier this week Morant was 10th among West guards in All-Star voting.“I was speechless,” he said. “But otherwise I’m just trying to be Ja.”Big names don’t have to be long. What the Clippers are saying the day after Luka Doncic’s game-winner tied series, 2-2 For Lakers’ LeBron James, Jacob Blake’s shooting is bigger issue than a big Game 4 victory The Clippers (25-12), who don’t like these 12:30 starts, will try to have lunch without losing it Sunday against the Knicks.“I just try to stay with what I do, control the pace, never get rushed or anything,” Morant said. “I’m just really looking for my teammates, not worrying about who’s defending me, just taking whatever they give me.”Morant had two turnovers in his 29:35 on court and was 6-for-6 from 2-point range. The Clippers played a lot of zone against him, but he also ran into Robinson, Mo Harkless, Landry Shamet and Kawhi Leonard at various times.L.A. had chopped nine points off the Grizzlies’ 25-point lead when Morant slowed down the dance, used a pick-and-roll and instantly found Jaren Jackson flashing for a dunk. Two free throws and three assists later, Morant had Memphis up by 21.“He’s going to be a great player,” Rivers said. “Or is, already, I love his tempo, just love it.” Newsroom GuidelinesNews TipsContact UsReport an Errorcenter_img Game 4 photos: Luka Doncic, Mavs shock Clippers in overtime Rivers played back when point guards set up the buffet. Now a lot of them eat. The leading assist man in the NBA is 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds and named LeBron James. Steph Curry and Damien Lillard get their assists, but normally they’re trying to pass the ball into nylon strands.Morant is averaging nearly three more assists and nearly four-and-a-half more points than any other rookie.“The point guards all used to be facilitators, just trying to run the team,” Rivers said. “This generation, you have facilitators and scorers, and some just want to score.“We don’t have a true point guard. As a coach you have to decide whether you want to run a point guard system. Ours definitely is not. Our turnovers are a little bit up this year. I hope we can do something about it but I’m not sure we can.”It must be noted that neither Patrick Beverley nor Paul George were around to corral Morant on Saturday. The Clippers responded with a team concept that guarded nobody, surrendered the loose ball wars and, on the other end, had only 20 assists. Rivers bluntly said the preseason NBA favorites “don’t have an identity right now” and hadn’t played a praiseworthy game since Christmas Day against the Lakers.Meanwhile, Memphis showed why the NBA has such appeal. It is one of several teams that has a load of talented players and still can’t surface. Morant, Crowder, Jackson, rookie Brandon Clarke, backup guard Tyus Jones and shooter Dillon Brooks form what would be a significant nucleus if not for all the stocked teams ahead of them. But they are worth monitoring. This is what happens when a league hasn’t expanded in 15 years. It is why the Lakers deserve hat-tips for going unbeaten, so far, against sub-.500 teams. They have dodged the kind of scratchy nights, and days, that the Clippers suffered Saturday.Related Articles PreviousLos Angeles Clippers’ Landry Shamet, right, works for a loose ball next to Memphis Grizzlies’ Dillon Brooks during the first half of an NBA basketball game Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in Los Angeles. That’s a compliment. He did rise for a dunk when he got past Jerome Robinson in transition, but generally he made the book plays, the ones that do no harm.Morant still had 22 points and nine assists for a 14-22 team, one that the Clippers invited into Staples Center with instructions to make itself comfortable. Hampshire and Yorkshire score opening wins at County Finals

first_img23 Sep 2016 Hampshire and Yorkshire score opening wins at County Finals Hampshire and Yorkshire took the honours on a birdie-strewn first day of the English Men’s County Championship at Sandwell Park Golf Club in Staffordshire.Hampshire – who received good luck wishes from former team-member Justin Rose – beat Cornwall 5-4, while Yorkshire defeated Warwickshire 7-2The action on the first day of the round robin tournament unfolded on a bright autumn day, with many of the holes being decided by birdies. Both winning teams took the upper hand in the morning foursomes with Hampshire winning two of their three games and Yorkshire completing a clean sweep with a combined team score of 15-under par.In the singles Hampshire, playing in the top match, claimed their first point with the 3/1 win of Billy McKenzie. He was quickly followed by Jordan Sundborg who took charge of his game when he won the 9th, 11th, 12th and 14th. He had been a couple down over the opening holes but, helped by some birdies, came out of that stretch three up and also closed out his match 3/1. “I played really well from the 7th and got a bit of momentum going,” he said.Team captain Martin Young gave Hampshire the win with his 4/3 victory and was two-under when he finished. His round got off to a good start when he holed a long par putt to halve the first and, as he moved into gear, he won five holes in a row to reach the turn five up.He’s suffering from a heavy cold and said: “Because I’m feeling a bit rough I played within myself, drove the ball well and hit it straight.” He went on: “I’m so pleased we have won and really pleased that the points have been shared out among the players.”Hampshire, which includes the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, is fielding a young team which includes four rookies at County Finals. Young, by contrast, is playing in his seventh final and still waiting for a win! The last time Hampshire won this championship was in 1996 when Olympic champion Justin Rose was in the team.He sent a video good-luck message to the side saying: “Go out and give it 100%, I am sure you will wear the badge well.”In the day’s other match, Yorkshire laid the foundations of their win with their 3-0 foursomes success, before Steve Robins and Ben Hutchinson (pictured top)  forged ahead in the singles to clinch the victory.Robins, who insisted he wasn’t playing his best, managed to score in style. He won five holes in a row from the eighth – helped with three birdies – before closing out his game on the 15thHutchinson grabbed the initiative straight away in his game and was four up after four and five up at the turn. He was three-under going out and, although he didn’t putt as well on the back nine, he won 3/2 to ensure Yorkshire’s point. “It was the winning point and that’s what counts,” he said. His team-mates weren’t finished, although Warwickshire made them work for their points. Warwickshire’s Patrick Ruff, who was two down at the turn, took English amateur champion Dan Brown to the 18th and their game was halved. Warwickshire’s Matt Cryer had 16 pars and two birdies in his game, got ahead of Will Whiteoak on the 15th and their game also went to a halved result.Liam Phipps took a point for Warwickshire with his 3/1 result, but Kealan Lowe, the Yorkshire order of merit winner, completed the team’s 7-2 scoreline when he won the last game 2/1.Yorkshire captain Darryl Berry said: “It’s been a very good day’s work. I’m happy with the way they played and it’s a deserved win. They have stuck to what they had to do and their attitude has been brilliant. They’re all up for it!”Tomorrow Hampshire play Warwickshire and Yorkshire play Cornwall.Click here for tee times and full scoringImage copyright Leaderboard Photography.last_img read more
