Broome County Fairgrounds sees busy weekend

first_imgWHITNEY POINT (WBNG) — A lot is happening at the Broome County Fairgrounds this weekend, where you’ll be able to enjoy both a horse show, and some of your fair food favorites. The fairgrounds are also hosting a drive-through fair food feast Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6p.m. “A lot of our shows were cancelled, a lot of the fair shows were cancelled, so we’ve had very few. Normally we’ll have anywhere from 12 to 15. This year we’ve had 5,” said Tom Lindsay, director of the NBHA NY06. Organizers say the show is an opportunity to make up for lost time after the coronavirus sidelined riders for much of the season. The National Barrel Horse Association’s NY06 is holding a two day show beginning Saturday and wrapping up Sunday afternoon.last_img read more
