Frances Jane Lanier, 91, Wellington: Dec. 3, 1923 – July 9, 2015

first_imgFrances LanierFrances Jane Lanier, of Wichita, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita at the age of 91.Frances was born the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth Catherine (McIntire) Askew on Monday, December 3, 1923 in Montague, Texas.On January 28, 1949, Frances and Robert L. Patton were united in marriage in Planeview, Texas. Together they celebrated 34 years of marriage before his death in 1983. She was blessed to find love again and married Clarence E. Lanier on June 2, 1984 in Argonia. The two were married for nearly 23 years before his passing in 2012. Survivors include her daughers, Gloria Fahring of Wichita, daughter, Robyn Sanders and her husband Dirk of Rose Hill, grandchildren: Shanda Terrel and her husband Jason of Wichita, Sarah Freeman and her husband Clint of Kanopolis, Caleb Sanders and his wife Alicia of Andover, Hannah Sanders of Rose Hill and J.D. Sanders of Park City along with 6 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and five brothers and sisters: Dell Askew, Douglas Askew, Denver Askew, Jewel McNatt and Tola Miller.Memorial services for Frances will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Friends Church, Argonia. A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
